Project Info:

The 1 Million Beers Project is a gamified, real-time tracking platform built to monitor a global challenge among a distributed group of users.

Acting as the Lead Developer and Technical PM, I designed an end-to-end automated data pipeline that removes manual entry by utilizing Generative AI Vision models to analyze user-submitted media.

Key achievements include:

  • AI Vision Integration: Implemented a Python bridge to LLM Vision APIs (Gemini/Groq) to automatically parse images sent via WhatsApp, count the exact number of drinks, and prevent fraudulent uploads.
  • Real-Time Data Pipeline: Developed a custom Node.js WhatsApp Bot that acts as the ingestion layer, seamlessly writing transaction logs into an SQLite database.
  • Data Visualization & Analytics: Built a comprehensive, interactive dashboard using Python (Streamlit & Pandas), featuring ETA predictions, historical tracking, geographic distribution (Nations Cup), and user engagement metrics (Streaks & Wall of Shame).
  • Gamification & UX: Created a highly engaging loop that drives daily active usage through competitive leaderboards and automated milestones.
